5 Hidden Symbols In Popular Logos (Part 3)

in #fun7 years ago (edited)

I would like to continue the thrilling saga of symbols with popular logos.

The previous posts: 1 and 2

Here are 5 more logos with hidden symbols in them:

Gillette

Notice the white space in the letter "G" and the dot in the letter "i." The white space is being used to represent a razor sharp cut, the type of cut that Gillette advertises in their blades.

Formula 1

This is another logo in which the company takes advantage of the white space. I'm sure most of you are familiar with this one, but the white space in between the black "F" and the red streaks forms the number 1.

Unilever

The "U" of the Unilever logo is seemingly made up of many random images that form the U shape. However, the images are not random. Each of the 25 small images represent an aspect that makes up the unilever brand.

To learn what each aspect of the logo means, you can learn more here.

Pinterest

One of the less "hidden" symbols, the "P" in the logo represents a pin. Pinterest is an online pin board site, so it's only fitting they include a pin in the logo.

Cisco

According to Wikipedia, the name "Cisco" was derived from the city name San Francisco, which is why the company's engineers insisted on using the lower case "cisco"in the name on the logo. The logo is also intended to depict the Golden Gate Bridge.

Let me know what you think about these!
