1000 DAYS OF STEEM — The Diary Game - 21/03/2024 - A welcome surprise...

Today I feel like doing the post in reverse, also considering the fact that it was a strange day, but all in all pleasant, for some aspects that developed over the course of the hours...

I left early, now apart from Sundays, and not always, my personal alarm clock almost never exceeds 7 in the morning, I get up, I have a prolonged moment of reflection in the thinking room, which is commonly called the bathroom, after breakfast, a possible 2nd moment of considerations, then I go out to do various tasks, today there were various things to take care of, such as filling up the car with LPG, going shopping at the hypermarket, collecting an invoice (always done positive), bring a cost estimate for a special cleaning of an internal wall of a building, prepare food (yes, once in a while, almost always cold dishes or first courses with tomato sauce, I cook too), but returning to the the moment I went to that building, the one we normally clean on Wednesday and Saturday mornings, an unusual thing happened...

As I was about to leave after having greeted the condominium owner responsible for receiving the estimate, a lady, who lives in one of the two apartments on the mezzanine floor, saw me and was completely amazed...

"But what day is today?!?!"

I immediately understood what she was getting at, I replied that it was actually Thursday, but that I had simply come to deliver an expense estimate...

"But are you busy today?"

The question takes me by surprise for a moment, I think about my commitments, and ask her what she needed, because I actually could have had a certain amount of time...

"I'm desperate, they've finished reassembling the floors (several tiles had broken when the building was settling), and all my furniture is dusty, I've cleaned some too, but if you had some time to give me a hand, you you will be infinitely grateful..."

I asked her if she could wait until the 1st afternoon, almost certainly my partner would have wanted to join me, in fact it was exactly like that, together in a couple of hours we managed it, to the great satisfaction of that lady, who didn't she knew how to thank us and compared us to two saviors, in the end there was no way, she wanted at all costs to give us a tip more than we usually get, she was too happy with the work we had done for her...

Oggi ho voglia di fare un po' il post al contrario, considerando anche il fatto che è stata una giornata strana, ma tutto sommato piacevole, per alcuni aspetti che si sono sviluppati durante il susseguirsi delle ore...

Sono partito presto, ormai a parte la domenica, e non sempre, la mia sveglia personale non supera quasi mai le 7 di mattina, mi alzo, ho un prolungato momento di riflessione nella stanza del pensamento, che comunemente si chiama bagno, dopo colazione, un eventuale 2° momento di considerazioni, poi esco per le varie incombenze, oggi c'erano diverse cose da sbrigare, quali fare il pieno di GPL alla vettura, andare a fare la spesa all'Ipermercato, incassare una fattura (fatto sempre positivo), portare un preventivo spesa per una pulizia speciale di un muro interno di una palazzina, far da mangiare (sì, una volta ogni tanto, quasi sempre piatti freddi o primi con sugo di pomodoro, cucino anch'io), ma ritornando al momento in cui sono andato in quella palazzina, quella che normalmente puliamo il mercoledì e il sabato mattina, è accaduto un fatto insolito...

Mentre stavo per uscire dopo aver salutato il condomino addetto alla ricezione del preventivo, una signora, che abita in uno dei due appartamenti al piano rialzato, mi vedo e tutta stupita...

"Ma che giorno è oggi?!?!"

Capisco subito dove voleva arrivare, le rispondo che effettivamente è giovedì, ma che ero semplicemente passato a consegnare un preventivo spesa...

"Ma te sei impegnato oggi?"

La domanda mi prende un attimo di sorpresa, faccio mente locale ai miei impegni, e le chiedo di cosa avesse bisogno, perché un certo ritaglio di tempo effettivamente lo avrei anche potuto avere...

"Sono disperata, mi hanno finito di rimontare i pavimenti (si erano rotte parecchie mattonelle con un assestamento della palazzina), ed ho tutti i mobili impolverati, qualcosa ho pulito anch'io, ma se tu avessi del tempo per darmi una mano, te ne sarai infinitamente grata..."

Le ho chiesto se poteva aspettare il 1° pomeriggio, quasi certamente la mia compagna avrebbe voluto affiancarsi al sottoscritto, in effetti fu proprio così, insieme in un paio d'ore ce la siamo cavata, per la grande soddisfazione di quella signora, che non sapeva come ringraziarci e ci ha paragonato a due salvatori, alla fine non c'è stato verso, ha voluto a tutti i costi darci una mancia in più rispetto a quanto prendiamo solitamente, era troppo contenta del lavoro che la avevamo fatto...
