Known as the pearl of the Indian Ocean, the island of Sri Lanka has long been home to some of the most fascinating tourist destinations in the world. With beautiful trees, vines, flowers and fruit-filled tanks, hills, streams, and a pleasant climate throughout the year, there are many fun events that we can all enjoy on vacation.So today I;m going to share another beautiful waterfall increased the beauty of Horton plains.

Bakers Falls belonging to the Horton Plains National Park in Nuwara Eliya District is 20 meters in height. It is located about 3 km from the entrance of Horton Plains. Baker's Falls, one of the most spectacular waterfalls in Sri Lanka, is fed by the Belihul stream.

We are fortunate to see so many beautiful streams on this picturesque island. Baker's Falls is one of those beautiful streams. Visitors can travel by vehicle to the entrance to Horton Plains National Park, which is 10.5 km. One has to walk 3 km from the entrance to the scenic beauty of nature.

The Ohiya, Pattipola and Nanperiel estates are located close to the Horton Plains National Park, 14 km from Pattipola and 13.5 km from Ohiya to Baker's Falls. From Pattipola, you can go to the Bakers Falls, walk through the forest, and see the small world, the world famous World Cliffs, the Tree of Life and the spectacular view of Bakers Falls. Samuel Baker is credited with finding Baker's Falls. He is a British hunter and has seen this waterfall when he goes hunting one day. The Baker's was discovered by the Bakers in the year 1845, so his name has been added to the waterfall in honor of him.

The environment around the waterfall is breathtaking. Rathmal and ferns are found all around. Horton Plains constantly deals with wet weather. Travelers can visit the park at all times and also create camps.

Baker's Falls, which lives on Belihul stream, is not the only waterfall in Horton Plains. There is a large pool of water and its bathing is very dangerous. It is said that deep caves are located inside the water tank where the water of the falls falls. People who know the terrifying nature of this waterfall have told tourists that they have lost many lives which they do not accept. The most vulnerable to Baker's Falls are young men. The reason is the drunkenness and their negligence. So be safe most important thing here. I always respect and accept old people's words where I traveled without know anything there.

We had to hit very cold weather around the falls. The unique feature of this waterfall ecosystem is the habitat of endemic aquatic organisms. The trail is right in the middle of the Horton Plains, so you should definitely walk. And you can see this environment-specific sack on this trip.

Both local and foreign tourists love to see the beauty of the waterfalls, which bring down the water and make the whole world awe-inspiring. The only request is to visit the waterfall. A two-story carriageway, close to the waterfall, has been built for visitors to visit the waterfall. From there you can see the surrounding waterfall.
