How to Make Coconut Toffee Easily...
Hello Wonderful Community,
You know that yesterday was our Sinhala year. And the special day is over. This morning I asked my wife to make something different for tea. Today I'm going to write about a confection that I helped my wife make at my special request. We say coconut toffee. These are, I suppose, not as good as those who haven't eaten.
It's not that hard to make. Little things are needed. It's easy to find in Sri Lanka. Because we always use these at home. But eating too much is not good. Two pieces is enough for one at a time. Or you can get sick in the stomach. (I have experience.)
Ingredients
Grated coconut 250 g
200 g of Sugar
20 g Cumming seeds
Cup of Water
Cardamom powder
Coloring (If have)
Making Method
Put the cup of water into a bowl and put it on the stove.
Then, when the water is boiling, add the sugar and cardamom powder. Stir until the sugar dissolves.
Stir in the coconut and mix well. Now put a pigment. Slow fires are frequent. You have to keep spooning. Or touch the bottom of the jar. Add your food coloring.
There comes a time when this mixture comes together like a pellet. Then put it on a disk. Thicken the mixture about half an inch tall. Thin to tighten.
Cut into strips and let the heat cool down. The tasty, soft coconut toffee is exactly what I like.
Coconut toffee is made in some houses as a new year's sweets. And it's a dish that can easily be made on special occasions. Try it, you guys.
