SLC-Home Repair Club ||S23W3|| Tutorial: Power Pack with Battery Backup Repair (220/110 Volt)
Steemian Friends,
Today, I will show you how to repair a power pack with battery backup in Steemit Learning Club's Week 03 Home Repair Club. The mentors of Home Repair Club, @rmm31 and @imranhassan sir, requested to see my repair and advise. I have repaired power packs like this before. It provides battery backup and a 110-volt output supply. Then, I began my repair work.

Today, I will show you how to repair a 220/110-volt power pack with battery backup. I first look at the voltage rating of the power pack. The input voltage of the power pack is 220 volts AC, and the output voltage is 110 volts DC. The problem with the power pack is that the output does not get 110-volt DC. I would first measure the output DC 110 volts with the power pack's 220-volt AC supply. I have shown the power pack problem in the video and pictures below.

I then measure the output voltage of the power pack DC 110 volts. I measured the output voltage with the selector switch of the multimeter set to the DC voltage point, and the output voltage was not 110 volts. Then, I realized there was a problem inside the power pack. I will use two methods to repair the power pack. First, I would check the power pack fuses. If the fuse is blown, the power pack can be easily repaired. If the fuse is good, I have to find the fault in the electronic circuit board. So I opened the power pack and started checking the fuses first. I have shared the pictures and videos below with you.

Then, I checked all the electronic circuit board components inside the power pack. I like all the components visually. I checked the capacitors for swelling. Then, I checked the fuse with a multimeter and found a blown 3-amp fuse. I have shown the result of checking the fuse with a multimeter below.

Then, I put a good 3-amp fuse back into the electronic circuit. I saw a spare fuse in one part of the power pack, so I put it on the reserve fuse. These fuses protect the circuit components from breaking. I have solved this type of power pack problem before, so today's task was easy for me to solve.

I didn't find any faults in the circuit, so I didn't need to check the electronics transformer or other components with a multimeter. I put on the top cover of the power pack and supplied 220 volts. Then, as soon as I turned on the power pack's output switch, the display lights turned on. Then I am sure my power pack is working successfully. Then again, I measured the output of 110 volts using a multimeter. I get a little over 110-volt output. I have shown the power pack output of 110 volts with pictures and video below.

I am sharing one of my difficulties with you, club mentor. I am an electrical engineer. I work in a power station. Our company manufactures rods. So, where I work, there is a lot of noise. I try my best to reduce extra sound while making my videos. I hope you will consider my problem with forgiveness.

Excellent work, @mahadisalim brother, shown the process of identifying the problem of the power pack, changing the fuse and checking the circuit and solving it. Especially the steps of measuring the voltage and the part of analyzing the cause of the problem have been very educational. Such technical sharing is really useful. Best wishes for your future work.
Thank you so much for reading my post and leaving a nice comment.
Hallo, Brother @mahadisalim
You have written a very nice post for us. You have observed them step by step by changing a fuse and acting as a representative.I expected you to do this.I hope I can gain some more work experience from you.
Thank you so much for reading my post and leaving a nice comment.
Thank you very much for the reply🥰
