It was a small village in France, where the total population was 642. During World War II, the German army was supposed to attack the village, but mistakenly attacked the village. The day was seized on 10th June 1944. Those who survived the horrific attacks of that day, say that the German army, the men in the village shot to the feet for a slow death. The women and children who took refuge in the church were set on fire by keeping them inside. When they come out of the heat of fire, they have to give life to gunfire. The German forces burnt everything in the village and set it on fire. France has saved the village in the same way as a memorial.
