English Premier League Potential Title Contenders : Liverpool FC

Liverpool are the most successful club in England. They have the most major trophies followed by Manchester United. Out of them there are a whooping 6 champions league titles. But in the modern premier league era Liverpool haven't been the club they were known as. In fact they won their first ever premier league title in 30 years back in 2020 under Jurgen Klopp. Yes they've came close to this previously on multiple occasions but have always somehow managed to fall short. Liverpool's title defense wasn't something they would like to remember. As they've went on to break some sorry records on defending champions. But it had it's reasons. Last season Liverpool team was heavily injury struck. They weren't able to play their first xi throughout the campaign and most of all, the absence of Virgil van Dijk has been a key downside to Liverpool's failure.
Liverpool this season are promised more. All the injured players are fit now. And Van Dijk is also back and Liverpool are rolling. They haven't been one of the most active players in the transfer market but they did sign a defender in France international Ibrahima Konate. He was signed from RB Leipzig this summer.
There hasn't been much change in the team. Some minor differences from thei title winning season. Jota is more and more coming into the picture as he is altering the positions with Mohamed Salah in game, benching Roberto Firmino. Also a little more creativity is added into the midfield with the addition of Thiago Alcantara. Liverpool's high pressing game with high work rate is something to be wary of for the opposition. As we have seen in the last matchday Liverpool pinned Chelsea into their own half and Chelsea could barely make it out. Though Liverpool couldn't score against a 10 men Chelsea at Anfield but the credit goes to the brilliant defending by the Londoners. But in this manner Liverpool is scary. Salah Mane and Jota all are in good form.
If they hold their form and injury don't strike them like last season, their competition with the likes of Manchester City, Chelsea and United will be a treat to watch.
