Manchester City have been dominating the premier league for quite a period now. They have a fantastic squad along with a fantastic coach in Josep Guardiola. As a result they've been winning the premiership 3 times in the past 4 years. Only once falling short to a Jurgen Klopp coached Liverpool. As the defending champions they're a big contender for this year's title too. For a couple of seasons Sergio Aguero has been quite fragile. Yes he's delivered whenever he was on the pitch but that was a short period as for most part he was injured. So Pep opted for a false nine the whole period. With Mahrez and Sterling or Foden on both sides and De Bruyne through the middle. It has been effective for the most part, but the lack of a lethal finisher has been a downside. As City created loads of chances but the conversion rate was less than expected.

This season they have broken the british transfer record and brought in the star man of Aston Villa, Jack Grealish. City were also planning to buy a forward. As they had set sights on Harry Kane the whole time only to not being able to sign him as Kane decided to stay towards the end of the transfer window. They then tried to sign Cristiano Ronaldo but lost him too to Manchester United. The window is closed now and City have not been able to buy the striker they wanted, and they're left ta square one, just like last season.

Manchester United and Liverpool and Chelsea will put up quite a fight this season. The three clubs have had their problems last season but are at full throttle this season. So going for the league and the all awaited champions league, won't be easy. They have to be at their best throughout the campaign. And also pray that the other teams don't get past them.
