Unforgettable Italy Week 23 ǀ Piazza San Pietro
Greetings dear fellow steemians and members of the Italy community! What a joy I feel to be able to join this week 23 to the fabulous initiative of friend @girolamomarotta to remember this beautiful country.
Today I want to share with you this picture taken in St. Peter's Square. The truth is that from the moment I started planning the trip to Italy, getting to know this place generated a lot of expectations and excitement and finally the day I met it was so special that it will remain etched in my memory forever.
I arrived very early to this site that is located in front of St. Peter's Basilica and delimits the Italian state. I was very impressed by its imposing columns and the magnitude of that place, that I had only had the opportunity to see in photos and in some movie, then I finally fulfilled my dream of visiting it.
The space of the square is made up of two parts: the first is in the shape of a trapezoid and the second is in the shape of an oval with the Egyptian obelisk in the center. I was amazed to visit that place built between 1656 and 1667 in order to create a site capable of hosting large congregations of the faithful. Today, many people congregate there on Wednesdays and Sundays when the Pope usually appears on the balcony. To access this square, I had to cross Via della Conciliazione.
I really enjoyed my visit to St. Peter's Square, the weather that day was spectacular and remembering that trip through this post, I can only thank God for the opportunity I had to visit it and trust that I will visit it again.

Hermosa foto amiga, me gustan los colores. Y qué decir de la plaza, un sitio magnífico e imperdible en el Vaticano.
Así es amiga @rosana6! Una visita obligada cuando visitamos Roma. Gracias por pasarte por mi blog.
