Good work!

p.s. I had never heard the phrase "unilateral parenting." It's quite interesting.

Thank you 😊

p.s. Me either, I thought of it as I was writing my sample sentences and it just made sense to me - consider "parenting" 2 sided as
a) requires 2 to become a parent in the first place, and
b) core differences between men&women/father&mother traditional roles and the unique skills/attributes contributed by each -
and with 'unilateral' pertaining to one side, you combine them and end up with single parents!....(or maybe one of them is just not as involved for whatever reason...)

Hmm, that little anecdote makes me believe you are a writer, to whom words come to, out of the blue. Of course, background knowledge and further research is necessary, but after you attain / do that, it's interesting how ideas and words come to us.

As for unilateral parenting, I've met many single parents, in various countries, and I've found that most of them manage to do a very effective job of parenting. The number of people doing the parenting is largely irrelevant; it's the quality of the parenting that makes the difference.

Haha well I wouldn't go so far as to call myself a 'writer' but I do enjoy it and my whole life I've been doing various writing activities, I even used to run my own little 'word of the day' exercise at work....that's why I like participating in the vocab-ability - it's like the ultimate 'word of the day' activity!

I agree entirely, there are many capable, effective, single parents in the world raising well rounded children, hence why my sentence starts with 'some' believe.... We all know men and women are 'wired' differently and each has their traditional role to play, but in this day and age we are no longer bound by these traditions and as is with all living creatures who survive in this world, we have evolved and are able to fulfil the needs of our future generations in many other ways.....hmm, got a bit too wordy there at the end LOL....
