Economic hardships and my family

If I compare economic conditions of last 10 years with current economic conditions then there is a lot of negative gap I can easily observe because increase of inflation rate can be observed with the passage of time which is such an alarming situation for future. Here I'm sharing comparison of 10 years ago with current some daily use food and grocery products.

Food items10 years back priceCurrent price
Whole wheat grains0.50 STEEM (1 kg)2.5 STEEM (1 kg)
Rice0.40 STEEM (1 kg)2.40 STEEM (1 kg)
Grocery of one month150 STEEM400 STEEM

From the above random comparison according to my knowledge, it is really evident that there is a huge increase in prices of all the commodities that are necessary for life survival....

If I talk about more opportunities for earning then;

In Pakistan, I have not seen any sufficient progress in the educational sector or in the development and enhancement of creativity and skills in youth.

In Pakistan, I have not seen any enhancement in the employment opportunities for the young generation, but I have seen a chaos in the employment sector, as there is more personal favour than following merit and than giving the opportunity of employment to deserving and righteous people.

I have not seen any improvement in the Pakistani economy, and I have not seen any innovative projects for the welfare of lower-class people, but I have seen that the rich are becoming richer here and the poor are becoming poorer day by day.

I have not seen the development of basic facilities for poor people like food and shelter, but I have seen more people become homeless with time and stay deprived of the basic facilities of life.

All these are alarming situations that I have seen in my country in recent years, so definitely I cannot say that the economic conditions of my country are overall better with time. Being a part of and a citizen of Pakistan, I am definitely also facing a lot of difficulties sometimes in managing the economic conditions of my family due to the increase in all commodity prices.

Management of economic hardships by me

It is not wrong to say that I am the son of my parents and there are other siblings to them; I am also a student; and I am not a job holder. That's why my parents never pressure me to take over the load of family expenses, but I always try my best to help my parents manage the economic condition of their home.

I prefer to eliminate luxury and unimportant items from my monthly income so that home expenses may run smoothly.

I believe that we should always focus on living a simple life. That's why I always try my best to buy quality items from the market by managing my budget.

While managing budget and economic hardships, I always make sure that there is no item that is getting wasted in my home and that every item is utilized in its proper way, either related to food or groceries.

I also try my best to manage utility and gas bills by using them in a proper way. For example, if there are three air conditioners in my home, I prefer to use only one because, at the same time, all family members can sit in the same place for the management of the electricity bill.

I am not at all brand conscious because I think we should focus on the quality of the product we are purchasing rather than thinking that a particular product has a brand tag.

These all steps are really helping me and my other family members a lot to combat all challenges that are related to economy and budget management from daily income, but still, I am thankful to Allah that he has provided everything to me and to my entire family, so we're always thankful for his blessings

I am inviting my friends @steemdoctor1, @pelon53 and @chasad75 to take part in this contest.

Asalam Alikum.

First of all thank you for inviting me in this contest. I already took part in it few days before.

You have said right in comparison of 10 years to todays market rates of different items. Things have changed a lot and inflation has increased that has affected not only middle class but the poor ones are now facing tens of daily challenges. It was easy to buy a bike before but now a normal bike is 160,000Pkr which is not possible for many people now. However, maybe in the future things will again get on the good track in Pakistan and in the world.

Wish you best of luck for the contest. JazakAllah :)

MOD's Observations/suggestions

Thank you for participating in the Steemit Engagement Challenge Season 17 in the Steem kids and parents Community.

By comparing the prices of goods 10 years back and today, it is clear that nowadays the prices of everything have increased a lot. In such a situation, it is very difficult for a single head of the family to survive and manage the house. In such a situation, a good child always wants to help his family.

As neighbors, we read and hear economic crisis in your country but that's a global problem that the leaders have probably mishandled and made things worse. I suffered a little during the COVID era but I know a few families personally that suffered even more. I have tried to explain one of them. I wish you the best in this contest.

Your whole post is great and you have done a lot of work on it and you have told the rates of 10 years ago and the rates of 10 years back and 10 years ago it was much cheaper. It used to be found on the rate and now two years before that, if you can see, there was covid three years ago, the situation was completely normal even before covid, there was not so much inflation, but when covid came and the conditions that happened after that, you Everyone can see that people have become unemployed and due to being in lockdown, the poor people did not get wages or any work to run their houses. The rate of things increases.
