Let the authority of God's word guide you

Today is a very special day, it is still a gift that comes from God. The word of God is the best bright light that God has left us to illuminate the path to which we must travel successfully in life.
The Word of God traces a path of eternal life and this path is traveled knowing the love of God through his Son Jesus Christ. Knowing this love should lead us to know in depth the word of God, which is God's authority to control everything created by Him.
Christ Himself recognized the Scriptures as the Word of God. When Jesus quoted Old Testament passages, he often opted for those supposedly contrary or hard to believe. And he did it to reaffirm his historical precision. Jesus referred to the creation story (Matthew 19: 4-6; Mark 10: 2-9; 13:19), Noah and the Flood (Matthew 24: 36-39; Luke 17: 26-27), and Lot and the story of Sodom and Gomorrah (Matthew 10:15; Luke 10: 2; 17: 28-30).
Jesus even mentioned the story of Jonah (Matthew 12: 40-41; 16: 4) according to the Old Testament. There are those who make fun of this story by saying that it is a "fairy tale" or a story for children. Why? because according to their knowledge of science, they say it is impossible for a whale to swallow a man and then vomit after three days.
Well, first of all, the Bible does not say that Jonah was swallowed by a whale but rather by a great fish (Jonah 1:17). But most importantly, the historical fact is recorded in the Bible and Jesus said it really happened. If I believed it, shouldn't we believe it too?
The Bible declares without folds: "All Scripture is inspired by God" (2 Timothy 3:16). The wonderful thing about this statement is that what was written by sacred writers was inspired by God. God spoke through those men. They were his spokesman.
The same words of Scripture are inspired by God. Someone said: "It's so easy to have music without notes or math without numbers as thoughts without words." Inspiration corresponds to each and every part of the Bible as a whole, not just the "thoughts" that words communicate to the reader.
Jesus declared: "For truly I say to you that until heaven and earth pass, neither a comma nor a tilde will pass from the law, until everything has been fulfilled" (Matthew 5:18). He guarantees even the smallest parts of the Bible.
Why avoid attacks by certain critics of the Bible? As believers we must submit to God and his Word of authority. Writing is the standard by which we must measure everything else.
Thank God for his Word. Read it Study it. Enjoy the assurance that the Scriptures have divine authority.
