Gold Wars: The Most Important War You Will Ever Fight!

In this weekend report I talk about gold and the best book, in my opinion. about what gold is not only is as a financial asset but also as a safeguard for liberty and free markets.

"Gold Wars. The Battle Against Sound Money as Seen From a Swiss Perspective" by the late Swiss private banker Ferdinand Lips is a must read for anyone who is interested in gold and precious metals or is also thinking about buy the yellow metal for the first time.

Before opening his own private bank in 1987 Mr Lips worked for Rothschild Bank AG in Zurich Switzerland. The book looks at the 5000 year plus history of gold as money and also at how governments and Central Bankers have been waging war on gold ever since 1933.

Mr Lips finished this book back in the Summer of 2001 when the gold price was bottoming after a long twenty year bear market. I would say that the most important message from this book, aside from the importance of gold as financial insurance, is that gold has always gone hand in hand with free and prosperous societies while fiat money always brings about tyranny and misery.
