महाराणा प्रताप (अंग्रेज़ी: Maharana Pratap, जन्म- 9 मई, 1540 ई. कुम्भलगढ़, राजस्थान; मृत्यु- 29 जनवरी, 1597 ई.)[1] का नाम भारतीय इतिहास में वीरता और दृढ़ प्रतिज्ञा के लिए अमर है।वे उदयपुर, मेवाड़ में सिसोदिया राजवंश के राजा थे।वह तिथि धन्य है, जब मेवाड़ की शौर्य-भूमि पर 'मेवाड़-मुकुट मणि' राणा प्रताप का जन्म हुआ।वे अकेले ऐसे वीर थे, जिसने मुग़ल बादशाह अकबर की अधीनता किसी भी प्रकार स्वीकार नहीं की।वे हिन्दू कुल के गौरव को सुरक्षित रखने में सदा तल्लीन रहे।
