In a future where technological advancement, with machine learning and automation, is poised to greatly disrupt our societies and create an ever deepening inequality, we must look at the possibility of severing the connection between work and income and provide everyone with the means to thrive.

Who is able to pursue their passion? Who has time or energy after working full time? Who is willing to take a chance knowing there are mouths at home to feed? How much stress and physical ailments come from trying to "just make ends meet"?

Is it not time we started to tap into the potential that humans have? How much is the world losing because people are either living in extreme poverty or barely getting by in a dead-end job?

Is it possible for one to "pull himself up by the bootstraps, if he has no boots"?
