Time
What is time? We know it is something that is in our lives and conducive to change, but we usually have a hard time giving it a definition. We know that time passes, that you cannot go back, that it is constantly evolving and that you have to take advantage of it, but still we waste our lives in absurd routines, trying not to think about it so as not to be sad.
Often we do not realize the value of things until we have lost them. So we look back and think about everything we could have and no longer have. This is very common to happen over time. We waste our days, our hours and our moments on nonsense or without paying attention, and when they are over, we wish with all our strength to be able to go back.
This photograph, taken from the entrance of the Divina Pastora Archdiocesan Museum, corresponds to the bell tower of the Minor Basilica of Santa Rosa de Lima, a Catholic temple located in the picturesque town of Santa Rosa, close to the city of Barquisimeto.
Tiempo
¿Qué es el tiempo? Sabemos que es algo que está en nuestras vidas y que propicia los cambios, pero usualmente se nos dificulta darle una definición. Sabemos que el tiempo pasa, que no se puede volver atrás, que evoluciona constantemente y que hay que aprovecharlo, pero aún así malgastamos nuestras vidas en rutinas absurdas, intentando no pensar en él para no entristecernos.
A menudo no nos damos cuenta del valor de las cosas hasta que las hemos perdido. Entonces miramos atrás y pensamos en todo aquello que podríamos tener y ya no tenemos. Esto es muy habitual que suceda con el tiempo. Malgastamos nuestros días, nuestras horas y nuestros momentos en tonterías o sin prestar atención y, cuando se acaban, deseamos con toda nuestra fuerza poder volver atrás.
Esta fotografía tomada desde la entrada del Museo Arquidiocesano Divina Pastora, corresponde al campanario de la Basílica Menor de Santa Rosa de Lima, un templo católico ubicado en el pintoresco pueblo de Santa Rosa, próximo a la ciudad de Barquisimeto.
