Rabbits are easy-breeding animals and having a pair: female and male, you already know that you will have a few rabbits in a short time. Rabbit breeding is the most widespread, especially in the Mediterranean regions.

Traditional rabbit breeding is practiced in small farms. What offers great advantage, in terms of food, productivity, social integration and economic profitability.

This small monogastric herbivore provides the family with an important source of protein. The production of this meat offers many advantages with reference to other types of traditional agricultural productions.

Properties of rabbit meat

Rabbit meat provides people with vitamins and minerals, include: Niacin, Pyridoxine and Vitamin B12.
The fat of rabbit meat is healthier than others, since it contains a high percentage of polyunsaturated fatty acids.
This meat provides a caloric content of 100 to 140 calories according to the piece.
Each 100 grams of meat contributes about 21 grams. of proteins
Its high vitamin content of group B and vitamin E is higher than that of other meats.

-B1 (thiamine) 0.1 mg
-B3 (niacin) 12.5 mg
-B6 (pyridoxine) 0.5 mg
-B12 (cobalamin) 10 μg

As the food is based on vegetables, alfalfa, sunflower, bran, beet, cereals and vegetables is a lean meat.

Many recommend the consumption of this meat for the following reasons.

-It is a meat with low fat content.
-It has a low cholesterol content.
-It has important minerals such as iron, zinc and magnesium.
-Contains a high content of B vitamins, such as cyanocobalamin (B12), niacin (B3) and pyridoxine (B6).
-Its high protein content is necessary in all periods of life.
-It has very low sodium content. In addition, their culinary preparations often incorporate aromatic herbs, so they do not need much salt.
-It is low in calories.
-It is a food with great gastronomic versatility, since it supports a wide variety of ways of preparation.

Domestic rabbit meat can and should be recommended to all people who:

-Want to maintain your agility and figure.
-Have hypercholesterolemia.
-Have delicate digestion problems.
-Start circulatory or heart problems.
-Have liver disorders.
-Be elderly or be children of letter age.
