The subtlety of a loving caress always makes us shudder. There are soft touches that reach the heart and renew strength. The caress of a mother encourages the child to the inclemencies of a cold and inclement world. The loving touch of a loving wife strengthens the love and conjugal fidelity. In the same way, the caresses of God fill us with love.

The caresses of the Lord are wrapped in blessings of all sizes and are available at all times. When the thorns of life hurt us, our heavenly father generously offers the caress of his consolation, which mitigates the pain. If we are wrong and the destiny makes us prey, the caress of forgiveness touches us, if we ask it with faith and humility. What a great blessing!
Bringing the caress of God to all men, that is, bringing the Gospel, the Good News, and making them experience the joy of Jesus Christ, is the great task that their disciples have. Can there be a mission more beautiful than this? Is there something bigger and more stimulating than carrying the water that quenches the thirst that every human being has in the depths of his heart? How well does Psalm 41 explain it to us, when it tells us: "as the deer seeks streams of water, so my soul seeks you, my God"! Announce and witness our joy is the core of our mission.

This leads us to discover that love is not just a mandate, it is the response to those who have loved us, to those who have given us the gift of love when they came to meet us. We do not give of ours, we give of what we have been given as a gift to do the homework.

To wake up every day is to become aware of that present, of that moment in which we are loved by God, that loves us with eternal love, and we discover that everything is a gift of God, that everything is a caress of his love.

Wake up to this new day and stress it, because it really is a new day with all its greatness, with all its splendor, discovering in the next few hours the caress of God and the miracle of being alive.
