Carrier of butterfly wings

The butterfly accompanies and influences the entire history and culture of mankind, inspiring and fascinating. In Greco-Roman antiquity, the goddess Psyche was considered the embodiment of the soul and life, being artistically represented as a carrier of butterfly wings. Many peoples considered butterflies as the incorporation of life and death, as a symbol of the passage of life but also as a hope in immortality. More than in Europe, butterfly symbolism plays an important role in the Far East. Under the influence of Brahmanism, which considers that the soul passes after death from one being to another, thus being immortal, many peoples see in the butterflies a human soul returned to Earth. In his last speech, the Buddha thanks the butterflies, from which he learned more than from the writings of the Brahmins.
