The games these people play are disgusting. Thanks mike

I dont think that the current escalation on the turkish-syrian border has much impact on the oil market, or is intended to do so.
The whole thing is a conflict between the Kurdes and the Turks, and its going on for many decades now. The region of the Kurdish ethnic span over 4 countries, Turkey, Syria, Irak and Iran. Basically the Kurdes demand independence of all those 4 pieces as a united Kurdistan - and so the 4 governments hate them accordingly. But nobody hates them more than the Turks, who supressed them and even killed them since many years. And the Kurdes attacked army camps, blew up police stations and also civilians in turkish cities in return.
The current attack of turkish forces into Syria had to be expected, it was just delayed by the presence of US forces among the Kurdes. The Turks didn't want to risk killing US citizens and get in trouble that way. They are a NATO member still, so they cant do stuff like that.
As you correctly said, Turkey gets arms from the USA - although they also had Russia delivering a missile system to them, which didn't go down too well in Washington.
But the thing is, the Kurdes also got weapons from the USA - to help fight the IS in Syria. And that is again a big worry for the Turks.
Anyway, none of the players there has a lot of oil, or control major oil shipping routes. Well, the Kurdes in Irak have some oil in their region, but thats not disputed so far.
No, I think what we see in northern Syria was predictable and almost inevitable, especially with a nutter like Erdogan being in power in Turkey.

I definitely appreciate all of your hard work on this vlog.. We understand u gotta make ur money 😉
