Waterfall mengaya is one of the tourist attractions located in central Aceh, Takengon. Takengon city is one of the cold cities in Aceh because the location of this city is in the highlands. In addition to the cold weather of this city also save a number of natural beauty that makes the eyes cool to look and the cool air is felt in this city, everyone would want to linger in this city.

Air terjun mengaya merupakan salah satu tempat wisata yang terletak di Aceh tengah, Takengon. Kota takengon merupakan salah satu kota dingin yang ada di Aceh karena Letak kota ini berada di dataran tinggi. Selain hawa yang dingin kota ini juga menyimpan sejumlah keindahan alam yang membuat mata sejuk untuk memandang dan udara yang sejuk sangat terasa di kota ini, semua orang pasti ingin berlama-lama di kota ini.
Kali ini saya akan membahas tempat wisata air terjun yang bernama wisata Air terjun Mengaya. Tempat air terjun tersembunyi ini berada di desa mengaya, kecamatan bintang, Aceh. Nama air terjun tersendiri di ambil dari nama desa yang berada air terjun tersebut yaitu desa mengaya.
Perjalanan menuju ke air terjun ini memakan waktu kurang lebih 45 menit dari pusat kota Takengon. Selama perjalan menuju Air terjun mengaya ini kita akan dimanjakan dengan keindahan alam Danau Laut tawar dan ribuan hektar kebun kopi yang sangat terkenal yaitu kopi gayo, Aceh.
Sesaat sampai di tempat tujuan mengaya, kita masih harus berjalan kaki kira-kira 1,5 kilometer untuk sampai ke air terjun mengaya, tampak terlihat air terjun masih sangat alami. Pepohonan sangat hijau de sekitaran air terjun. Airnya pun sangat dingin dan sangat segar. Banyak pengunjung yang mandi di air terjun mengaya ini.
