My food-day started with an early cup of coffee.

Then, for breakfast, I was served two things that reminded me a lot of breakfasts from my school days: deviled Underwood ham and warm milk.

The milk had been milked the same day. A friend brought it from it from his farm; my sister boiled it and let it sit. It was the first time I tasted freshly milked milk on its own, without coffee or in a yogurt. The taste and the aroma were just nice.

It was possible to get home very early. I arrived in Cumana before 1 pm and felt like going for an ice cream cone Marco Polo (at Arturo's in "Hipergalerías"); they have a banana and chocolate mix that I love ("banana chips"). We hadn't had lunch yet, but we enjoyed them very much whatsoever.

My husband ordered chocolate and mochaccino and I ordered banana chips and mochaccino.

He paid $2.75 each, or $5.50. I didn't find it really expensive, given the quality of the ice cream and the texture of the cone; however, I remember the prices of ice cream in better ice cream shops in the past, and I can help but think that $1 each would have been a more accurate price. But, hey, this is the country we have. Crazy world.

After I had satisfied my craving for Marco Polo banana chips, I bought some wine, oil and groceries. Here are the photos and the bills. The rice is not here because it was a gift for a neighbor, and we gave it to him on the way home.

As sonn as we got home, I started to prepare lunch. My husband make some coffee and brought me some fruit meanwhile.

I used the meat and the jojotos to make a delicious soup for lunch. We ate it at 5 p.m. or so

After that, we ate leftover cake for dessert and more coffee. I made the cake with banana, apple and bitter chocolate (lactose-free). Delicious dessert.

We had eaten to our hearts'content, so when the time came for us to have dinner, I just wanted a good cup of hot herbal infusion to help me sleep. My husband did the job. Loved it.
