The AMAZING Brazilian DUNES
The Lençóis Maranhenses National Park is a national park that is located in Maranhão state, in the northeastern part of Brazil. Collected and composed of large white, comprehensive dunes, at first peek Lençóis Maranhenses looks like an archetypal desert, but strangely its not .Located on the Amazon Basin, the region is themed to a regular rain period during the beginning of the year. The rains cause a peculiar experience: fresh water assembles in the valleys between sand dunes and is prevented from percolating downwards by a layer of water-resistant rock which lies underneath the sand. The consequential blue, green and black "lagoons" are bordered by the desert-like sand, and reach their fullest connecting July and September.
