Steemit Has Touched My Life in a Variety of Ways - 25% To @null

Greetings, dear readers!

We all know there's no way to put a lot of time and effort into Steemit and not be touched positively by the people and the system; it's practically impossible. Because of the way the Steemit system is designed, we develop new skills as a result of how we interact and engage with others; we come by and learn a lot from others, and my life is no exception.

I'd want to share with you how Steemit has touched my life in numerous ways in this post.

Writing was not my strong suit before joining Steemit; in fact, I despised it. I joined Steemit because I wanted to share photography content, but I didn't have the necessary equipment to do so. I had no choice but to start reading other people's articles, digesting their content, learning how they create their contents, and applying what I learned to my own posts.

It wasn't simple, but it was a slow and steady process. I must admit that the majority of my learning came from the SteemAlive community, as they were the most active and innovative when I first joined Steemit. When you see something you like and desire it for yourself, there's an old adage that says you should learn to imitate it. That's almost exactly what I did. I researched them, read their writings, and applied what I learned.

As they say, "practice makes perfect," and this was the key that contributed to my development because I was eager to learn. I never imagined that two years ago, before joining Steemit, I would be penning a 1000-word article. If you had asked me back then, I would have told you that it can't be possible.

Not to mention that Steemit allows you to meet individuals from all around the world, consume each other's content, and form true relationships. In fact, some people have found their soul mate through this system. This is absolutely conceivable, and I'm hoping I'll see mine very soon 🥰

I met people from my country on Steemit, and we've been close and helping each other ever since. Some of us met on traditional social media, which I brought over here, and Steemit helped to strengthen our bond. I'm close friends with people like @pocoloco01, @lordhojay, @whitestallion, @srrebullient, @jueco, @ayomide1110 and many others; in fact, I'm friends with practically everyone in the campus connect community.

I must admit that before joining Steemit, my circle of friends was limited to my home state (Lagos), but now I have friends in almost every part of the country, especially the Eastern part, because that is where the majority of Nigerian Steemians reside. I also have a few friends who live outside of the country and whom I can contact. Outside of Steemit, all of my new friends have proven to be valuable.

When you're with other content creators, there's a phrase that says you'll learn and grow from each other. This is the environment that Steemit has established for me through communities like Campusconnect, where you can explore and learn from different students that make content.

I've been encouraged to learn about cryptocurrency and the blockchain since I stand a good chance of making money from my fintech and crypto-related articles, whereas before I had little to no motive to do so. As I previously stated, I lacked the necessary equipment to create my content, but Steemit has now provided me with everything I require. Now that I have a laptop, an good and efficient mobile phone, an internet router that gives me unlimited data, with this I can browse the internet with ease.

I suppose you would agree with me if I said that Steemit provides unrestricted access to all data on the network. This is the one of the benefits Steemit has over other sites where premium access is paid for, but with Steemit, you get premium access for free; it's like having free wifi connection.

I've gained a great amount of knowledge about a variety of topics (crypto, health, food and lifestyle in general) over the years I've spent on the chain, and there's still a lot more to learn. The intriguing point is that knowledge is not restricted to a single topic; rather, it encompasses a wide range of themes and areas. My knowledge of cryptography has improved significantly.

This article would be incomplete if I did not discuss how Steemit has impacted me in this area, as it is where I have been most impacted. Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine myself with an account worth as much as this. I never considered it before, but today I can meet most of my demands without the help of my parents.

The truth is that in a country like mine, earning crypto is the sweetest thing; our currency is depreciating every day, and yet minimum pay for traditional jobs are relatively low, typically in the $50-$60 range.

I checked my earnings in the last 30 days and discovered that I earned more than the minimum wage in my country; in Nigeria, the minimum wage is $60 (approximately 324 STEEM), and my monthly earnings is $178.87 (STEEM & SBD), which is significantly higher than the minimum wage in my country; in fact, as a student, I have been able to cover the majority of my expenses without asking my parents or borrowing from others. All of this is possible thanks to Steemit.

I am grateful for the conception of this system; it has been a blessing to many individuals, including myself. I'm curious how many people would have survived if Steemit didn't exist. The standard of living is exceedingly low for Nigerians, particularly now that the country is experiencing high inflation. A lot of people including me will be battling with life and attempting to be comfortable. For me I would have been frustrated with life, perhaps even despised myself, and had low self-esteem, but now I can say that my life is better than I could have anticipated, thanks to Steemit.
