A New Crypto-currency On the Steem Ecosystem

in #smartmediafutures6 years ago (edited)

Every week @sndbox stands at the eye of the storm, with a magic wand spinning magic questions that will make your mind go hazy with a trends of thoughts that would hit you mind with force of a tornado . This time with @utopian-io involved in the process, I have got a tussle in my brain.

New innovation has over time been a traditional religion on steem, with many Apps, projects and communities ice dancing on the steem floor. With this tradition becoming a religion what to expect on steem cannot be anticipated.

Now with time on the rise heading to the close of the year, the buzz of Smart Media Tokens on steem heads to hit the roof. There is a prediction heating up the steem lithosphere, that March 2019 might be massive with a new innovation (SMTs). With SMTs many will be given the leverage to birth their own crypto on steem (sounds sleek to me).

But the big questions are:

  • What would your own token feel like?
  • How would it look like?
  • How would it improve the steem ecosystem?

With many questions asked, a solution to this is obviously eminent.

It is an open secret that the life of every flesh is in the blood, so also, the blood of the steem ecosystem slides in the volume of the active steem user.

With this been said, we won’t be wrong to believe that, for steem to stay strong the steem gospel should be preached to the massive volume of unrewarded social media users, who make multi million Dollars for this giants without knowing.

How could one grow up in hell (social media) just a block away from heaven (the steem ecosystem) without a clue of what paradise (reward) feels like.

As much as propagating the steem gospel seems massive, many might get stocked on redundancy over the process of time.

But I dare to ask:

  • What if you were rewarded or tokenized for introducing steem to a friend, what if you are given a token for showing a new steem user his/her way around the city of heaven, would you stay committed to the process?
  • What if you are incentivized for crossing a milestone, will you continue to steem along for as long as forever?

With this in mind, I went to the city of intuition, in search of an innovation, that will keep existing steem user faithful to the steem game.

My innovation might be primitive, as it is in the most unrefined form as we speak (maybe it might require your contribution to birth a revolution). It comes in shades that will erect an effective reward system. This reward system is in two folds of tokenized incentive "cryptocurrencies" (I cant even believe I am talking about my own crypto).

  1. SteemRef Token
  2. Milesteem Token

SteemRef Token (Refferal token)

This is a token that would be likened to something like a referral bonus, as every steem user across board would have a referral link. If an intending inductee signs up with this link, the one who refers the new steem user gets a SteemRef Token as his/her reward (how sleek if you have me asked).

Furthermore I proposed that the inductee after successful registration should be prompted with the details of the steem user who refered him/her (maybe with their steem user name or even Email address); such that if there are questions to be asked, the older steemian will have them diffused.

Milesteem (MileSteem Token)

This incentive will come in different shades and strokes.
First off, when a task is executed or mile stone is reached or crossed. This token is used to reward the steem user who executed the task.
Follow me closely with this, it will so easy to have it understood if you are religious with your view.
  1. After a new steem inductee completes the registration process, he/she get rewarded with MileSteem token, this will go a mile further to boast their motivation and fuel their anxiety to jump into the process.
  2. His/Her first post also comes with a Milestone tokenized reward.
  3. His/Her first comment comes with a Milestone tokenized reward.
  4. His/Her first reply comes with a Milestone tokenized reward.

I think this could be hinge on the edges of @steemitboard processes, as they always keep up with this details in respect to, almost every steem user and their advancement when it comes to each mile stone (I am only proposing).

Many might agree that the message from @steemitboard birth a feeling of ecstasy, how that you have reached a milestone on a number of posts on steem, on a number of comments, on a number of replies, on a number of following etc

But what if you are tokenized on steem for reaching that mile? What if you are rewarded with MileSteem? Will you stay committed?

Most likely you wont flirt around.

With the assessment of @sndbox and @utopian-io as well as with the help of our tech guys, I am guessing that this might be massive for both the old and new steem user alike.

Would you ever believe I will one day talk about birthing my own SMT? Give it up to @sndbox and @utopian-io for the opportunity. it feels massive if you have me asked.

Thank you for participating in @sndbox's challenge, in association with Utopian.

I must admit, I was not blown away by your concept. To me, the beauty of SMTs is the way they - along with the Velocity HF - extend Steem beyond its current bounds, in a variety of ways. And we've had some great ideas in that respect in response to this challenge. While the idea of bringing people in to Steem is good, and recognizing milestones with rewards is nice, neither seems to me to require a token of its own. You can do all of that with Steem and SBD.

I also found the post itself lacking in terms of style and grammar. I'll cite some examples:

  • "New innovation has over time been a traditional religion on steem, with many Apps, projects and communities ice dancing on the steem floor." While that is certainly a delightful visual metaphor, "has over time been" is not correct. Maybe "has, over time, become" would work. But then we get to it becoming a "traditional religion" and I'm confused all over again. Because... it hasn't? Also, you didn't capitalize Steem and did capitalize Apps and both are wrong.

  • "Now with time on the rise heading to the close of the year, the buzz of Smart Media Tokens on steem heads to hit the roof." Time is on the rise? In what way? And the second half of the sentence is so convoluted. Simplify, simplify, simplify. Lemme do a quick edit: "Now, as we head to the close of the year, the buzz surrounding Smart Media Tokens on Steem is about to hit the roof."

  • "As much as propagating the steem gospel seems massive, many might get stocked on redundancy over the process of time." I know all of these words, but the second half of this sentence seems like a random collection of them.

I'm sorry if this comes across as harsh, but this post was difficult to read. The writing seems ambitious, but there's a lot of wasted effort there. Simpler, clearer writing would have served you and the readers much better.
