Neanderthals take care of the elderly
Our pension systems have reached their limits. Older people often only see their children a few times a year. As researchers have now been able to prove, this was different for the Neanderthals. These turned out to be empathetic beings who turned out to be very caring. Neanderthals cared for their relatives over decades until death and thus already knew the importance of living together. Thus, they developed a kind of culture early on. The researchers were able to observe this phenomenon, which is rare today, from all over the Middle East to Spain. Neanderthals were also recognized to care for sick and handicapped people.
This contribution is intended to make us think that the generations before us knew about the urgency of caring for others. We should not lose sight of it in this day and age and let our relatives see it more often. Only together can we be strong and secure our survival.

Sometimes one does wonder how the world would have looked like today if the Neanderthals existed side by side with Homo Sapiens today, given that at one time they did exist in parallel. Would their intelligence have matched our own or surpassed it? Would they mingle freely among modern day humans or form separate settlements, and more importantly would they have been war-mongers like we are today, or a peacefully co-existing species? Perhaps the world we dominate today with our arrogant intellect would have been quite different.
