*Online tutoring
Although the corona epidemic has closed the way for people to learn hand-to-hand, most educational institutions are continuing their activities online. Teachers are taking classes through live classes on various online platforms or through pre-recorded video lectures. Bangladesh Television is broadcasting primary and secondary level classes. School level lessons continue to be given on television under the Ministry of Education in England.Besides, the government of the country is distributing laptops among the students and providing various facilities including internet system.
The BBC is considering providing informational facilities on television and online education. In the current situation, the 'Zoom' online platform is being used extensively. The use of Zoom in all activities from meetings to live classes has increased significantly. The main reason is that Zoom is user friendly and easy to use.Despite this, many educational institutions have not been able to start online activities due to lack of necessary facilities. Online teaching has not yet been fully implemented in government universities in Bangladesh.
Although classes can be taken online, the educational institutions have not yet reached a decision on exams or grading. Various educational institutions in the country and abroad are conducting class assessment through quiz or multiple choice cochlear implants, but there are still doubts about its effectiveness. At the university level, the emphasis is on creating assignment or group research-based papers, as the question of transparency in taking exams online remains.
And the matter of practical class or assessment has been postponed for the time being. Some other universities, including Egypt's Helwan University, also have Zoom's 'break-out room', where you have to answer questions about previous classes before taking classes. This allows the students to concentrate on each lecture and the teachers can easily do the class assessment, although it has been used sparingly so far.
