What is the main purpose of fasting in Ramadan?
The main purpose of Fasting in Ramadan is to accomplish one of the Five Pillars of our religion Islam that deeply and spiritually connected with Allah, and develop self-discipline in ourselves regular routine.
Fasting helps to purifies the soul of us, increased empathy and sympathy for the all less fortunate persons and this encourages gratitude for our life’s blessings by Allah Almighty. It is the
time for the reflections, worships, and sleekness for Allah Almighty's mercy and forgiveness for us.
How does fasting benefit a person spiritually and physically?
Basically fasting provide us spiritual strength and faith to promotes our self discipline and it fosters our empathy for the less fortunate in our surroundings. It's encourage our mindfulness our gratitude towards people and it purifying the soul.
Fast physically detoxify the our body and improved overall digestive system also support our weight management and boost our mental health. Infact it enhance the overall health by gives the rest to our digestive system as much needed.
Tell us about your favorite sahoor and iftar recipe and their benefits
Butter layered Paratha is my favorite recipe of sahoor that always delights me in Ramadan or even breakfast on casual basis. Also it has more then one benefit it is good for overall health and provide us proper energy that is required in fasting.
Apple salad is one of my favorite recipes in iftar time. This recipe is composition of green apple, cabbage and nuts that all are good for our health, this provide us all energy required after fasting.
Things to Do While Fasting
- Try to stay hydrated
- Eat the balanced meals in sahoor and iftar
- Perform prayers on time
- Help others by charity as much as
- Get the adequate rest to prevent fatigue
- Practice the patience and gratitude
Things Not to Do While Fasting
- Avoid the overeating at Iftar time
- Don’t skip Sahoor to prevent fatigue
- Avoid excessive caffeine because it can dehydrate you
- Refrain from negative actions as much as possible
- Don’t engage in the intense exercises
