"Steem Cameroon Best day Contest - Participating in election in my local government. (6-10-2024)
Beautiful greetings to this community. With you is, @mbetobongluke from Nigeria and I'm delighted to be part of you in this amazing community. @steem-cameroon
Reflecting on what transpired my happiness as my best day of the week.
Reflecting my happy moment. It been long overdue, I have been yarning for my state Local government election to come to reality.
Here on Saturday, I was opportune to exercise my franchise by voting for the candidate of my choice. This happened to be my first time of participating in election and also vote.
It was an awesome experience as the entire place was calmed with security man mounting everywhere to ensure a smooth conduct of the election.
I believe strongly in the autonomy of Local Government and the Supreme Court of my country has recently given a verdict that there is need for the funds of the Local Government to go directly to the Local Government. But it will still need a bit of parliamentary tinkering for that to become a reality as a result of various provisions in the Constitution.
The senate president of my country, was also here presence to also cast he's vote.
It was a nice moment to be part of the election by also casting my vote and witness what is happening around me and my neighborhood.
Coming back home, I had to prepare plantain and sauce as my dinner meal.
It was really a fullfil day as the was no casualty at the polling unit.i came back home peacefully and with joy of the later experience I had.
I would love the following friends to participate in this contest,
