This is my next book. Charlotte Morgan and the Lemonade Stand.
This is the last chapter of this book, I need to get writing on the next book. Thank you to those that have supported this book.
It is still in the work-in-progress phase. The cover I am posting here is a temp cover derived from the first book. But I like sharing my work here first. The book is leveled for third grade readers and up.
I am using the #steemiteducation tag because the book is about using math and earning money.

Chapter 22 The Profit
“Hey Mom, Dad,” I shouted as we bounded into the kitchen. Dad was wiping out the cooler that held the frozen popsicles, and Mom held the lemonade cooler upside down in the sink.
“Yes! Charlotte!” Dad yelled, he likes to yell back at me when I talk too loudly in the house.
“We made $364!”
“Charlotte, that’s wonderful!” my mom smiled.
“That’s excellent!”
I put the money on the counter. “How much do I owe you again for the shoes?”
“I said fifty dollars would cover it.”
I counted out five ten-dollar bills, “Here you go. I am sorry about Charlie again.”
“Thank you, sweetie.”
“And Dad, the total you spent on everything was $111 correct?” I looked at him.
He looked at me and nodded, “Yes, it was.”
I counted out eleven ten-dollar bills to make $110 and a dollar bill to make $111. I handed it to Dad.
“Here you go.”
He looked at the money. “I am very impressed, Tambourine.”
“Can we go to back to the tree house, so we can split the remaining money?” I asked.
Mom nodded, “Yes, Charlotte, you guys go ahead and play. We’ll finish up here. You did a great job today.”
“Thanks, Mom.”
We ran back to the tree house. I sat down on the floor and called us into a meeting, “Here Ye! Here Ye! Let this meeting of The Number Investigators come to order!”
“You’re very loud when you do that!” said Aaron.
“I know,” I grinned. “I recommend that this special meeting is to split the remaining profit from today’s lemonade stand.”
“Seconded!” shouted Sally. And with that we split the remaining $199 among ourselves.
“Not a bad way to spend a Saturday,” said Marcus.
“Now, let’s just make sure that Charlotte trains Charlie so we don’t have to do this every weekend!” declared Sally.
“Good point,” I said. “I guess I better go do that now.”
“Let’s go help her,” said Aaron.
We went inside. I put away my $49.75 into a drawer. My friends, The Number Investigators, then helped me walk Charlie.
i think, that is the most enjoyable moment for charlotte when he count the profit money..
