Assalamualaikum all of my friends. How are you all? I hope you all are well. I am also fine. A few days ago I visited a relative's house and from there I did some sightseeing. Today's post is arranged by me through that sightseeing tour and now I am presenting to you the details of my visited sightseeing place and my travel experience in my post.
Location : Last 16th December 2024, the sightseeing place I visited was the old Jomidar Bari at Hemnagar, Gopalpur, Tangail district. According to sources, this landlord house was named Hemchandra Jomidar Bari after the name of Raja Hemchandra Chowdhury. In 1880, Hemchandra Chowdhury left Ambaria Rajbari of Madhupur Upazila and built a new Rajbari in Subarnakhali village of Jhawail Union of Gopalpur Upazila which is now known as Hemnagar Jomidar Bari.
After 9 am I left my relative's house in Arjuna village of Bhuyapur upazila of Tangail district in an autorickshaw for Hemnagar Jomidar Bari and reached there in just 30 minutes. I came for the first time to Jomidar Bari for which I was quite happy. Coming in front of the Jomidar Bari, I entered inside the Jomidar Bari.

The Jomidar Bari seemed very small to me at first sight because the Hemnagar school and college were located on either side of the Jomidar Bari which made the Jomidar Bari seem small there. Then I talked to a local about the size of the Jomidar Bari and he took me through another road to the back of the Jomidar Bari and the abandoned house looked quite spooky. Then I took some pictures and videos of the back of the Jomidar Bari on my mobile.
Going towards the back of the zamindar house, I realized that the Jomidar Bari is quite big and very old. Although I realized the presence of several other tourists inside the Jomidar Bari I gained some courage. Because I was afraid to enter inside the Jomidar Bari because of the ghostly atmosphere there. Anyway I wandered around outside the Jomidar Bari for quite some time and captured several pictures on my mobile.

Jomidar Bari After wandering around the exterior, I entered Jomidar Bari and started exploring the interior of this deserted house. Although the house is very old, I like the design of this house more. It was also amazing to see at home. However, the Jomidar Bari structure was damaged as it was much older. Jomidar Bari I moved further along the narrow balcony inside and continued to enjoy the scenery around Jomidar Bari.
Jomidar Bari The balconies are quite narrow and it is clear that there is a lot of traffic as I could see various writings on the walls. Also I have occasionally seen the presence of some people in the Jomidar Bari who visit the Jomidar Bari like me. However, I liked the narrow road leading to Jomidar Bari sopan that I kept walking along the terrace road to Jomidar Bari.

One thing I was surprised to see while walking around Jomidar Bari is that the upper ceiling of the building is casted with thick iron sheets of railway line which makes the building even stronger. All these ancient signs seemed very interesting to me.
After walking around Jomidar Bari I entered an abandoned room inside Jomidar Bari which had a broken door. After entering this ancient room I felt bad for myself because it was a very old room. But apart from me, many other people have traveled in this room which is really understood inside the room. I wandered around the different rooms of Jomidar Bari for some time
Jomidar Bari After wandering around the various rooms, I returned to the Jomidar Bari balcony and then proceeded further in a direction I had not been to yet. After a little further I was a little surprised that the place seemed much more deserted. The building here suffered quite a bit of damage. But one thing I liked more and that was because it was noon time, the sun was shining from the top of the Jomidar Bari old building which was quite a beautiful view. So I took my mobile phone and photographed this wonderful scene.

At first I thought that this Jomidar Bari has no stairs to access the upper terrace. But after searching for a while I found the stairs to the roof of Jomidar Bari and these stairs were very narrow and steep so I climbed the stairs very carefully. Although I was accompanied by several other tourists who, like me, climbed the roof of Jomidar Bari for the first time. However, after entering the Jomidar Bari rooftop, the view caught my eye. Moreover, I again saw the bright rays of the sun. It is really nice to see such a view on the roof of such an old house.

Since Jomidar Bari is so old, every part of this house is shrouded in mystery which I could sense. However, after entering the Jomidar Bari roof, I continued to inspect the roof area.
After climbing to the roof, I went directly along the middle of the roof and saw the rectangular roof design from here. Then I went to where the rectangular design was made along the middle of the roof and did some photography. I especially enjoyed standing on the roof of Jomidar Bari and looking down from there to enjoy the views below the Jomidar Bari which I spent quite some time on.

After staying in the middle of the terrace for some time I came to the front of Jomidar Bari and saw the auto rickshaw in which I had come here stopped in the middle of the field. Jomidar Bari standing on the roof and looking at the big field in front of Jomidar Bari was so nice that I spent some time exploring the front part of Jomidar Bari roof top.
After spending some time on the front roof of Jomidar Bari my visit was largely over and now I only had to go down from the roof to see the west side of Jomidar Bari.
Jomidar Bari To see the last part of the west side I went back down the stairs to the roof from the side where I climbed the stairs. After descending from the roof I proceeded westward through the Jomidar Bari terrace to view the western side of Jomidar Bari. In no time I reached there and saw abandoned buildings that looked like they had been built a long time ago. I wandered around the western end of Jomidar Bari for more than ten minutes and visited the ancient structures there.
Meanwhile I have finished visiting all the places in Jomidar Bari and I got a new experience from here. To be honest I enjoyed visiting such old Jomidar Bari and I will visit more such Jomidar Bari next time I get a chance. Because one can gain detailed knowledge about history by visiting all these structures.
