The Diary Game: Organizing Christmas Rally And End Of Year Program For Kids And Parents/ Visiting My Aunt And Mom's Grave [27/12/2024]
Good day my people, it's the last Saturday in the month of December and also the last Saturday in the year 2024, happy weekend to everyone and this is a reminder that God is still looking after you no matter where you find yourself. Next year will be the best year ever if only you believe and work towards achieving that. Let me share how my friday was spent.
I was up by 5am already so I could make two posts on steemit before any other thing since I knew my friday was going to be a day without a single moment for myself. After writing the posts, I went out and took my bath and got prepared to step out for the Children rally we organized.
Going out to the venue, the decorator was already on it though it seemed a little late from the initial time we agreed on but then he had his job delivered and the children were beginning to come one after the other.

I engaged in cleaning the chairs and tables. When I was done, the kids were already here and they were so much, honestly I never expected that number this due to how things are going on but then God was doing what he knew how to do best.

By 10am, the event kick-started with ministers and missionaries coming in numbers, the guys for the crow control didn't come early so I suspected they had gone for another event so I took the usher tag and gave my twin brother one then began doing the crowd control myself.
After praise and worship, it was time for bible study and each classes from Nursery to ministers had their seperate sections for the study. I think there were about 6 classes in total. Each teacher delivering a power packed message to their classes, I love these missionaries, they always deliver the message just as it is.

When the bible study was over, it was time for Children's varieties, each group of children coming out to render either recitation or special song rendition. You could see how happy and dedicated they are doing the things of the Lord. This has always been my dream to atleast groom children so they follow Christ at this tender age and God has been helping me do that.

After the varieties, it was time for general sermon and this happened to be the most interesting past of this gathering to me, Pastor Goodnews handled this session and believe me I was blessed, he made justice to the theme which says "The Lamb Of God", I saw this phrase in a different and more advanced perspective, in summary I was blessed.

When the preacher left the pulpit, we took some time to pray, did bible Quiz and then it was time to present the children with school items, I was scared as the crowd was kind of uncontrollable and I was praying there should be no stampede and thankfully we gave out food, school items to the kids and drinks to the parents, in total we were able to record over 400 participants in this year's rally, this was the testament that only God could do miracles.

So before leaving I had to take pictures with some of the missionaries, these are men filled with the power of God and it was a privilege, a rare opportunity to meet with these ones. By 5pm, I took my leave after making sure everything was okay.

I left to my village, u met my aunt (my late mum's junior sister), my eldest sister was still there with my junior brother, immediately I got there, we were served pounded cocoyam with white soup. It's been like over a decade I have not taste this combo, I pulled off my clothes and swung into action. I ate till I couldn't raise my legs even my siblings as well, I mean I just had to eat and fill the day's I haven't tasted this.

When we finished eating, we rested for a while then we went to our family compound where my mum was buried, when we got there, I just went straight to where she was buried and said some prayers then I left to go stay with my siblings and cousin.
My aunt gave us cassava, sweet yam, a very big cockerel and vegetables to take back home, this woman knows how to spoil us with her farm produce to be very honest, she really knows how to do this and I appreciated her.

After about 10 minutes, we left the family compound and headed back home, it was just a beautiful moment's with people I haven't seen in a while, I took some pictures and then went back home.

Before we could see a bike that could take us to the park, it was late but then finally we saw one and it took us to the park where we took taxi back home and it was one of my best journey so far, the driver gave his best and if I was to rate him, maybe I would've given him 8/10 because he did his job quite well.

On reaching my house here in Uyo, I took my bath and I couldn't even vote anyone, after taking my bath then ate egg sauce with rice, I ate it from the fry pan, I loved it!!, I was so full that sleep started calling.

I called my siblings to know if they reached their homes and they affirmed, I was happy and then went to bed and that was how my day went friends. Till my next diary friends do well to take care of yourselves.
