The Diary Game (1st May 2026 ) : Moments spent on Selfie Road are natural surroundings

Dear friends, I hope you are all doing well. I am also Alhamdulillah, by the endless mercy of Allah, doing very well. As usual, after waking up today, there was actually no need to go outside, so I spent the morning sitting at home and had breakfast.

After spending some time like this, without doing anything else, I fell asleep, and today I had curating work to do. I completed my work on time, had lunch in the afternoon, and took some rest. Since today was Friday, in the evening I went out for a walk with my wife. In Barishal city, on the Selfie Road.

After a few months, I have been seeing such a place in the media, but I didn't have the time to go. There are many other places nearby where I have wandered around, and I have even reviewed different places. However, I haven't found such a natural environment, so I came here in the afternoon for a visit.

When I entered, I didn't have to buy any kind of ticket, so my wife and I walked hand in hand. There is a selfie road and a pond; walking along the side of the pond, many people are going beautifully, and we went too. While going, we were talking, enjoying the time, and enjoying the natural environment.

These times are truly very wonderful and memorable. On Friday afternoons, many people come out to roam around, especially people from urban areas. So at such a moment, meeting many people and seeing that many have come to wander here is a lovely experience. I enjoyed the time walking along the riverbank; it was a beautiful moment.

After spending some time like this, we continued walking ahead and saw an uncle selling pineapples, carefully preparing them. I really like eating pineapples, so I asked the uncle to make one for me. As he said, he cut the pineapples nicely and prepared them beautifully for me, and I ate them.

There were a lot of people here, and it really felt very nice. Gradually, the evening moment arrived, and all around, the sun seemed to be moving towards sunset, traveling along the horizon. Slowly, people seemed to start arriving, and especially in the evening, there are more people. Families, relatives, friends, and beloved ones come to such a place, chatting along the way.

I also spent time standing by the riverbank, enjoying the river, enjoying beautiful moments with the river waves. I told my beloved, 'Come on, let's eat something,' and then we had some fried potatoes. I really like this food, and sometimes I even make it at home, so I wanted to come here; we did it together.

Spending time at a favorite place with favorite food and favorite people is really a very joyful thing, and those moments are truly worth remembering. Then, after evening when darkness fell all around, I went back home. After reaching home, I finished my dinner and fell asleep. May everyone stay well and healthy. Allah Hafez.
