Steem is turning around?

in #steem6 years ago

Could this be it? Could this be the Batman symbol in the sky we've all been waiting for? - I don't know, it very well could be. The green candles are starting to show, the volume is starting to pick up on bittrex and other big exchanges. I'm beginning to wonder if this is going to affect SBDs significantly this time, or if its going to leave SBDs alone.

Of course its too early in the game to say anything conclusive, but as I've said before the markets are a lot more about psychology of the masses than anything else. So, if most people feel that Steem is turning around (seems to be the case) then the sel fulfilling prophecy becomes a reality.

To those who like to play the markets a bit, there's even an opportunity for arbitrage as of me writing this quick post. The asian markets are slightly higher as usual. They always seem to rally first, and to many traders they've become the bullish sign to look out for.

Should you be ready to sell?

I can't tell you what to do, but I'm not touching my Steem today. Unless some random act of a Space Overlord makes steem go to $100 usd, I have no intention of selling at this still low prices. The markets need to recover, the "faith of the people" needs to be replenished.

But.... hopefully this is it...

Nice to see that some contrarian investors exist who are finally pushing up the price a bit! It’s been a rough few weeks!

i dont know about contrarian... but then again, im glad too...

From 1,10€ to 1,22€...
Yesir...Steem is going back up

oh to the crytpo, gods let us hope that is the batman signal in the sky!!! haha ;) either way, i'm staying here!

hahahahhaha yus!

The move from the recent mins to the recent max looks about as for steem as the other large moves have in the past, the raw amount is obviously lower but the percentage gains are in that neighborhood already. Any trader who went in big near the lows should have happily cashed in their gainz.

did you make some moves?

No, because I'm a retard, also because I just bought some sbd and not steem to use within steemit instead of trade.

We are watching with so much interest... Lol

$100 a is possible and it would soon be a reality.

We need more people on this network and effort each other for be the first one social network it could make the truth in the market gets high.

It's been like a suspense movie, hasn't it? We know there is a lot of psychological effect or impulses, but are there any tangible/macroeconomic indicators that you know of that may send signs of improvement ins Steem situation?

well, since all alts move with BTC i suspect the bigger money was waiting for BTC to bottom out... it looks like it did, so now the plan could be to jump on an alt and hope it outpaces the recovery of BTC.

That's how the game seems to be played.

Think about that for second, what is the likelihood of steem 4X vs bitcoin doing a 4x?

steem right under 5 bucks is nothing out of this world bitcoin over 20k would be insanity.

I see. Thanks, @meno. Fingers crossed!

Better days are coming soon!!

it sure seems like it!!! this could be dawn

I would be interested to know when new users generally start buying STEEM. The way that cryptos move together makes it seem like there are a lot of people who are buying and selling all the coins together as if they all have the same future outlook. Do those people eventually wonder about the STEEM that they bought blindly and start using Steemit? I hope that isn't how it works.

I hope that most new users are making an account and using it for a little while to explore and make friends before they buy STEEM. It seems like users who have friends on Steemit are much more likely to stick with it and keep their STEEM powered up. That is really the only thing that will increase the demand for STEEM.

Either way, I'm in for the long term. My investment is made and I'm sticking with it.

I think for the most part new users dont... only those who get a taste of what SP can do for you ever do it, and that's if they even can.

I don't know how to do it, but it would be great if new users could bootstrap their way into a good position by producing good content. It must be frustrating to work your butt off to write a really good introductory article and see it get buried in a flood of lower quality content.

On the other hand, the value of STEEM is dependent on the the goodwill of STEEM holders, who expect to get something for their investment. If they get tired of having a lot of wealth tied up in STEEM they will sell and that will be bad for everyone.

I think the connection between the desire to recognize the efforts of new users and reward STEEM holders is through the curation mechanism. Maybe it is the beer talking (I'm in the middle of the three way taste test - very serious business.) but I think that the curation process is undervalued. Finding and promoting good content should be more highly regarded and more rewarded.

It might be better if one whale vote could get you a lot of visibility, but not a big reward. The only way to get big rewards should be a grassroots movement - a large number of small votes. I don't know how to make it happen, but it feels like it is possible.

No, no professor its not the beer your logic is pretty solid here... btw, let me ask you... are you on discord too?

I think I made a Discord account for something, but I don't use it. Should I?

Yes, I will like to offer you a hand! :)

Ok. I will log in tomorrow and try to figure out how to use Discord.

I do have a Discord account. Now I remember that I made it to join PALnet and PEVO, but I just fell out of the habit of using it.
