Reason behind selection:-

  • Author:-@solperez
  • Club Status- No Club
  • Country-Venezuela

The author posed an insightful question while addressing the topic of possessiveness: Why is it customary for women to change their surnames after marriage? This inquiry is particularly significant to me.
We would love to emphasise that our senior moderator, @solperez,
retained her parental surname following her marriage. She continues to utilise her maiden name in all professional contexts, which is commendable.
We thoroughly appreciate the entire content, especially the cited sections. This thoughtful analysis further validates our decision to include her work among our distinguished list of winners.

There is a very thin line between being protective and being possessive. This question has come at the right time. Recently, I came across this situation with a client.
I believe in one thing never give away too much power to anyone to control you. Once you do that, the protectiveness can very easily turn into possessiveness just
like in this case. Always maintain some distance, be it whoever in your life.

We identified valuable information, lessons, and guidance within the content shared by the author during the discussion of the contest subject. This work represents essential reading that can provide significant assistance to many individuals as a guideline. Furthermore, this analysis substantiates the rationale for including this contribution in our esteemed list of recipients.

One of the example of possessiveness in relationship is when for example husband feels that his wife belongs only to him, therefore, they do not like when they wife goes out with her friends to any evening our or to their party. Such kind of people can get very angry and even punish their wife with beating or locking her away, punishing withdrawing food and their freedom. This type of character is very egoistic and possessive and even if initially it is not noticeable then later on it is obvious.

Freedom is fundamental to all individuals, and it is imperative that there be no gender-based obligations imposed upon anyone. Furthermore, it is essential to uphold mutual respect among all individuals. It is important to recognize that domestic violence may escalate when possessiveness is exhibited in relationships, as such behavior tends to inflate one’s ego without yielding any constructive outcomes. Consequently, we are pleased to include this work in our curated collection of distinguished writings, reflecting our commitment to fostering awareness and understanding of these critical issues.

CONCLUSION

We always mention that a contest is not only the reason for winning
While participating to enhance writing skills
However, it was nice to read and comprehend the perceptions of our friends related to the subject. Congratulations to all the winners.
