The most famous festival of my country is the masquerade, particularly in my state in Nigeria; Ebonyi State in Nigeria is known for its yearly masquerade festival.
We always have the festival masquerade every year in November; many people always come back to watch this masquerade because it is a big festival in my country.

What is the significance of that festival in your country's traditions and in your religion?

Celebrating masquerades in the country has many significance; watching masquerades always gives little children special joy, even adults. You will see both the rich and the poor sitting in one place, watching masquerade dancing; the joy is always there. Masquerade festival always brings my country's people together.
Both Christian and traditional people always celebrate masquerade, so it doesn't matter if you are a Christian or not.

How is that festival celebrated? Are there any traditional foods or activities linked to it?.

It is always celebrated in a big way, because different families cook different foods even drink, like hot jellof rice, egusi soup, and fried rice and chicken.
Little children always come out to dance, Wearing their native 👗 dress.

The unique fact about our masquerade festival that most people don't know is that watching the Masquerade gives inner joy; even people who have a heart attack will come there and forget their sorrows. Another unique fact about this special festival is that it is a time for merriment and fun, so if other countries see us celebrating our masquerade festival, they will be saying, what is this festival all about?
