Day 854: 5 Minute Freewrite: Friday - Prompt: eye witness

What did I witness? Many things and nothing. Nothing overwhelmingly original. Nothing worth mentioning.
That is to say with the eyes of the body. And yet I saw lots of interesting events with the eyes of my mind. Those events were produced by electrical charges moving from axons to dendrites in neurons of my brain.
What did I witness today? Where did I travel? I travel to Africa 70 thousand years ago where I witnessed a small group of Homo Sapiences burning the fire in the cave. Around them, I heard the roars of wild animals and agonal screams of antipopes.
People danced around the fire happy that they were alive, not hungry and for a time being in no danger, not even aware o the fact that they will become the most powerful creature on the face of this planet.
Wow! What an interesting point of view to be an eyewitness, traveling with your mind's eye. Well done! You've gone way back in time, by the way! ))
