Luk 16:22 And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;

Relating a similar story to this one Jesus told. I see this as an actual occurrence. Jesus never used actual names with His parables. This is the one exception. He usually say, “There was a farmer”. No real names. But in this story he calls our a rich man and Lazarus.

Luk 16:20 And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores,

By this calling out an actual person's name, this is a true and actual account of what happened. The rich man went to a place of torment and Lazarus was carried to a place called Abraham’s Bosom.

My Maternal Grandmother

My mom's mother loved the Lord Jesus dearly most of her adult life. My grandmother could not sing. It was horrible when she sang and even a polite person would eventually ask her to stop. When she was 87 years old, she was dying in a hospital bed in Canada. My mom had 11 siblings! They were all down the hallway from mom’s room and they heard a beautiful voice coming from the hospital room.

When they got down to her room, my grandmother had her hands raise up and was looking toward the ceiling. She was singing for the first time in her life beautifully. She was already seeing heaven. She was already seeing Jesus! She declared she was going home and it was so beautiful. She quoted the scriptures. “Death where is thy sting, oh grave where is thy victory.

She went immediately and in perfect peace.

Act 7:55 But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God,
Act 7:56 And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God.
