Ulog #72 The Reason Why I am here Sell all Follow Jesus

in #ulog6 years ago

Early today I had to minister at a wake. The boy was 17 years and 7 days old. There is good news even in difficult times.

As I spoke, I could see his mom, dad, and sister. I could see the tears and sorrow. I cried along with them as they mourned. I have been in the same place and know what it is like to lose someone you love. The sad thing for the family is Felbert is gone. It is especially difficult for parents to lose a child. The normal pattern of things is the parents grow old and die before the children. It is very hard when this is turned backwards.

For the true Christian when a person dies, it isn’t goodbye, but see you later.

We grieve, but not like the world. We don’t grieve without hope. We have the comfort of Hope. Hope in the ressurection from the dead and hope to see Jesus and Hope to see our loved ones once again.

So I started out saying I have a renewed love and excitement for being here in a foreign country preaching the Good News of Jesus Christ. Almost 2 months ago I did a post about an evangelistic crusade in a Village called Gata Daku. Felbert Tagaylo gave his live to Jesus in that crusade. He attended church at my home church every Sunday after that. You could really see a young boy who loved Jesus,

This boy was rescued from an eternal hell and only a few weeks later is in the presence of God.

2Co 5:8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.

The Bible tells that there is only one way, un Camino. Jesus Christ.
1Ti 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

Jesus said, “I am the Way, The Truth and The Life and no one comes to the Father, but by me.”

Either Jesus was a lunatic and a liar, or He was telling the Truth. Jesus is the only Way!

I believe God sent us to Gata Daku because He knew that Felbert was about to die. So I am happy to have had something to do with bringing him the Gospel. Our part was small! God coukd have done it without us. Still God chose to bring this message through our team and me. This young boy is in heaven today because of it.

Tomorrow evening my wife and I will preach as a team at the last vigil service before this young man will be buried. An opportunity to tell even more people about the saving grace and sacrifice of God’s only Begotten Son. The Lamb oh God that takes away the sins of the world.

One Savior for all of mankind. One message! As easy as when Jesus came to the Sea of Galilee and told Peter, John and Andrew. “Come, follow me, and I will make you fishers of men”. The Bible says as historical fact, they dropped their nets and followed Jesus.

It is not our good works or deeds. It is faith in the greatest work of all. Where Jesus laid down His life on the cruel cross of Calvary (Golgotha). Bearing the sins, iniquities, sorrows, sicknesses and deseases. Bearing the curse for us. On the third day He rose from the dead. That everyone that believes unto salvation will inherit eternal life.

Mar 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
Mar 16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

Eph 2:7 That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Eph 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Joh 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Joh 3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
Joh 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

I am grateful that God had given me parents who showed me to Jesus. His death and resurrection paid it all and I am forever grateful. Indeed it isn't goodbye.

I know one day, we will all meet again, in a place with gold and no sufferings
