Rain Storms and Growing Garden.steemCreated with Sketch.

Room with a rain soaked view.

Our heavy rainfall continues with brief interludes of sunshine.

I think everyone is happy about the rainfall as I have said in previous posts, our country does need it in order to replenish our dams and bring water levels back to normal.

We did however have a real scare yesterday with the tornado that hit quite close to where I live. So there is that to contend with. We have just recieved a danger warning for friday. Stating that we are to expect extreme weather with heavy downpour and possible landslides, flooding and maybe even a repeat of the tornado.

Yesterdays storm and tornado was a blessing and a curse, with the death count at 2 and 20 injured and close to 200 homes damaged, displacing people in some rural areas in the province.

So we are all bracing ourselves for a rough few days. Hopefully dams get replenished without incident.

These are just some photos around the garden showing the good side of an abundance of water and how it gets everything growing again

Protea Flower which is indigenous to South Africa

Protea. Different colour and species.

Rose's and bird bath full of rain water.

Agama Lizard. Popping out to catch some sunshine before it rains again

Added some pics of my friend the Agama lizard popping out to catch some rays before the next downpour.

George out for a quick bit of Dognastics.

George also took the opportunity to play in the sun when it stopped raining for a bit.

Happy Thursday everyone. Find the beauty around you.

That protea flower is simply gorgeous!
And George? What a beautiful canine!

The Protea is indeed lovely. Has a charm of it's own. And yes my baby George is gorgeous. Will pass on your compliments. 😬🐶
