December 27, World Bank Founded
December 27, a world organization providing aid to developing countries was founded.
The World Bank Group, an international organization providing loans to underprivileged countries, was founded. And every year the world bank group provides loans of around 30 billion dollars, or about 370 trillion rupiah, to developing countries.
The bank is headquartered in Washington DC, America, has the main mission of economic development and poverty eradication.
And currently, the President of the World Bank, is David Malpass.
The World Bank consists of 188 countries that are members of the United Nations.
Maybe there are some who ask a little, is there really a difference between a world bank group and a world bank without a group?
It turns out there is a difference. For example, from the world bank group itself, there are 5 international organizations in it, and they provide loans to poor countries. That's the group.
As for the world bank, there are only two institutions, namely IBRD and IDA, and that provide assistance or capital to developing countries.
The difference is slight, but still the goal is to provide assistance as well.
But now the world bank already has a rival and now it's BRIC, a union of countries from Brazil, Russia, India and China. And also the mission is almost the same.
But I'm curious, if, for example, you usually provide assistance to developing countries, then maybe it's possible for an individual to do it or not? I want help for the holidays.
Best regards always.
