It's that time of the week again and this is my second to last portrait demo of the semester. I have to do one more tomorrow and that'll be it for this semester. I had a lot of fun with this one. Since it was a full bust I approached it overall with a looser style so that I'd have time to finish the whole thing with a similar level of detail. Also incorporated a brush I've had for a long time, but rarely use extensively in any one painting. In this painting I painted most of the skin with this brush and I like the effect I got, lots of colors smushing around in each other. I took a few detail shots this time around.

I ended up liking this hand because even though it's really loose and simplified I can still read what's happening.

I've try to be good about continuing to paint stuff like this even though the semesters over, I definitely learn a little something in each one, so I want to just do a ton of them and do lots of experimentation to see how far I can push things. Hope you're having a good one. Thanks for looking!
