For Real Madrid, Hazard Reluctant to Extend Contract at Chelsea

Eden Hazard's father, Thierry Hazard, revealed that his son refused to renew his contract at Chelsea for waiting for an offer from Real Madrid.
Chelsea offered a contract extension to Hazard in early December 2017. The offer was due to incessant news of Hazard's move to Real Madrid.

Indeed, the Belgian is still under contract at Stamford Bridge until 30 Junia 2020. However, Chelsea did not want to risk losing Hazard.

"Hazard has a contract extension from Chelsea waiting for an offer from Real Madrid and Hazard sees himself in Real Madrid uniform in the future," Thierry Hazard told Le Soir.

Previously, Hazard had stated not thinking about his future. However, the 26-year-old player is opening the opportunity to play under the direction of Zinedine Zidane.

According to Spanish media, Real Madrid is interested in bringing Eden Hazard. Les Merengues considers Hazard a true successor to Cristiano Ronaldo.
