After the Mueller Report Summary

in #politics5 years ago

It's been said over and over again the Mueller Report Summary issued by William Barr left "so many questions". Liberals have been touting the downfall of President Trump over collusion with Russia and obstruction of justice since the initiation of the Mueller investigation. Now with the investigation at a close and no evidence of collusion and no determination of whether obstruction of justice charges should be filled, Liberals are convinced justice was not served. Liberals new President Trump was guilty before the investigation started and are now convinced the investigation was flawed. In fact it was flawed to the point that Mueller and Barr should be investigated.

When a Special Counsel is convened to investigate a matter there are virtually no limits on the direction the investigation can proceed. Closing the investigation does leave one question for me.

Why didn't Mueller investigate the origin of the charges against the President and his team?

In the letter by Rod Rosenstein initiating the Special Counsel Investigation part of his jurisdiction was to investigate "any matter that arose or might arise directly from the investigation". At the start of the investigation, why didn't Mueller look into the quality of the evidence he had to start with that generated his job as Special Counsel?

Much of the supporting evidence for the investigation came from the Steele Dossier which was also used to obtain a FISA warrant for the surveillance of Trump campaign volunteer Carter Page.

During the presidential race of 2016, Hillary Clinton and the DNC through their law firm, Perkins Coie, hired Fusion GPS to do opposition research on Donald Trump. Fusion GPS hired Christopher Steele since he had deep contacts in Russia. Eventually this opposition research made it's way to the FBI. The FBI failed to properly vet the Steele Dossier. After the issuance of the FISA warrant against Carter Page and the initiation of the Special Counsel investigation it was learned the FBI never verified the contents of the Steele Dossier.

If Mueller had investigated the Steele Dossier, he would have found the Russia collusion he's been looking so hard for. When the investigation uncovered the funding of the dossier was Hillary Clinton and the DNC, Mueller would have asked for emails from both. Since Hillary destroyed her emails which she kept on an illegal server but she also destroyed the devices they were on. Mueller would have found the obstruction of justice charges he wanted to file.

It's not surprising Mueller didn't take this path. After all, Mueller was head of the FBI the first two years of the Obama presidency when we had Fast and Furious putting guns in the hands of drug cartels and the Uranium One deal that gave Russia control of 20% of American Uranium. Mueller's gotten good at not looking when Democrats are breaking the law.

Was hoping to get your take on this!

Will leave this as you stated....well said. Although I am very disturbed that this could, did happen. Shakes my soul.

Last thing, I always gotta add something, is how Dems can explain to their constituents why they authorized all that money for what they feel is an unjust, worthless investigation.

Hillary should be in jail. And I don't think any report will change that.

I want to have faith that she will be brought down hard some day. Before she runs again in 2020. I just don't think the egotistical bitch can resist.

Hillary should already be in jail, she should have been in jail during the last presidential campaign. It's non-sense. Will you do me a favor, please don't insult female dogs by calling Hillary a bitch.

You could probably hear me laugh in Indiana! OMG. That's hysterical.
