Ciao a tutti amici e amiche di Italy e di Steemit.
Sembra che la BCE stia facendo sul serio: sta preparando l’euro digitale che funzionerà al bancomat e nei negozi. (Rif.)
Non è più solo teoria: hanno creato gruppi di lavoro per integrare la CBDC (Central Bank Digital Currency, cioè la versione digitale di una moneta nazionale) nei sistemi esistenti, anche offline, e stanno definendo regole tecniche e certificazioni.
L’obiettivo è integrarlo nei sistemi già esistenti e non creare qualcosa a parte.
In pratica, presto potremmo prelevare o pagare con euro digitale senza cambiare le abitudini, ma con più velocità e sicurezza.
Sapete cosa penso della centralizzazione, però penso che questo sia un passo logico per rendere il sistema fiat più efficiente.
Anche se non credo potrà sostituire la moneta fisica, noi cittadini, ma anche i piccoli business, non vogliamo rinunciare alla privacy.
E mi resta il dubbio dell'offline, come si fa senza internet?
Comunque, noi che conosciamo il mondo crypto sappiamo dove trovare le alternative decentralizzate, anche se i governi stanno facendo di tutto per tracciare ogni nostro respiro!

It seems the ECB is getting serious: they are preparing the digital euro to work at ATMs and in stores. (Ref.)
It’s no longer just theory: they’ve set up working groups to integrate the CBDC (Central Bank Digital Currency, the digital version of a national currency) into existing systems, even offline, and are defining technical rules and certifications.
The goal is to integrate it into current systems, not create something separate.
In practice, soon we might be able to withdraw or pay with digital euros without changing our habits, but with more speed and security.
You know what I think about centralization, but I think this is a logical step to make the fiat system more efficient.
Even though I don’t think it will replace physical money, we citizens - and small businesses too - don’t want to give up our privacy.
And I still have doubts about offline use, how would it work without the internet?
Anyway, those of us familiar with the crypto world know where to find decentralized alternatives, even if governments are doing everything they can to track our every move!

Sarebbe proprio il momento giusto, visto la situazione internazionale!
Chissà magari da li inizieranno anche a pensare ad un circuito tutto europeo per i pagamenti elettronici, visto che gira tutto su visa e maestro e se gli USA una mattina si svegliassero male potrebbero bloccare le carte di credito di tutti gli europei!
