Ciao a tutti amici e amiche di Italy e di Steemit.
La banca britannica Barclays starebbe valutando l’uso della blockchain per pagamenti e depositi. (Rif.)
Sta cercando un partner tecnologico per costruire una piattaforma capace di gestire stablecoin e depositi tokenizzati.
È un segnale chiaro: la finanza tradizionale sta guardando sempre più seriamente a queste infrastrutture.
Le stablecoin iniziano a fare gola a tutti. È un mercato che continua a crescere e con una capitalizzazione totale vicina ai 310 miliardi di dollari.
E poi lo sappiamo tutti che le stablecoin permettono pagamenti più veloci, costi più bassi e operatività 24/7.
A questo punto mancavano solo le banche tradizionali!
Ma per le banche, le stablecoin sono anche un rischio.
Se le persone iniziassero a usarle molto, potrebbero spostare liquidità fuori dai conti bancari e questo significherebbe meno controllo delle banche su pagamenti e depositi.
E i depositi e i pagamenti sono due pilastri del sistema bancario!
Quindi, è vero che le banche stanno iniziando a usare la tecnologia blockchain per non restare indietro, ma allo stesso tempo cercano anche un modo per mantenere il controllo del sistema finanziario.
Il solito schema: prima ignorano la tecnologia, poi la criticano… e alla fine la integrano nei loro sistemi!
Ognuno cerca di tirare acqua al suo mulino.
Sono convinta che le banche faranno di tutto per non perdere il controllo e portare il sistema bancario esistente su infrastruttura blockchain, è un ottimo inizio.
Cosa aspettarci nel prossimo futuro, una versione tokenizzata del sistema che conosciamo già?
Dove tutto cambia per restare perfettamente come è ma in veste moderna.

This is a clear signal: traditional finance is increasingly paying attention to these infrastructures.
Stablecoins are starting to attract everyone’s interest. It’s a market that keeps growing, with a total capitalization close to $310 billion.
And we all know that stablecoins allow faster payments, lower costs, and 24/7 operations.
The only ones missing so far were the traditional banks!
But for banks, stablecoins are also a risk.
If people started using them widely, liquidity could move away from traditional bank accounts, which would mean less control over payments and deposits.
And deposits and payments are two pillars of the banking system.
So yes, banks are beginning to use blockchain technology to avoid being left behind, but at the same time they are also trying to find a way to maintain control of the financial system.
It’s the usual pattern: first they ignore the technology, then they criticize it… and eventually they integrate it into their own systems.
Everyone is trying to pull the water to their own mill.
I’m convinced that banks will do everything they can to avoid losing control and bring the existing banking system onto blockchain infrastructure and that’s already a good start.
So what should we expect in the near future?
A tokenized version of the system we already know?
Where everything changes… so that everything can remain exactly the same, just in a more modern form.
