How to help your child learn to walk

in #steemiteducation6 years ago

Most kids take their first steps with their first birthday. Walking often starts from the age of 9 months to 18 months. Do not worry if your child does not like it during this period some kids walk after the stage stands without going through the stage of love. The most important thing is that the boy knows that he has to use his arms and legs for movement. If your son does one of these moves, he may be too close to walking:

  • Scrolling
  • Walking on his hands and feet
  • Crawling behind
  • Climb the ladder with his hand

How does my child learn to walk?

From birth to two months of age

From birth, your child has a spontaneous reflex, fixing his feet on whatever surface he feels under his feet. If you carry a newborn baby in your lap in a straight position, you feel he is trying to use both legs. He did not try to walk, but showed his instinct like this. So his feet are not strong enough to stand. This unconscious movement will disappear within two months.

From 5 to 10 months

When your baby is about five months old, if you leave him balanced with his legs on your thighs, he will swing up and down and this swing will be his favorite activity in the next two months.

From 9 months to 1 year

By the time he reaches 11 months, your child may be able to stand up without help, bending, and squatting. In the 12th month, you may walk by holding your hand, but he may not succeed in taking his first step alone before some time passes. Most children start walking these first steps at their fingertips with their legs rolled out.

In month 13, your child may be able to walk on his own, but may often lack stability. Unless your child stops wandering around with furniture, it means that it will take longer to walk alone. Some children do not even walk at the age of 17 or 18 months.
