you know what i'm not sure what i am here. i'd like to be a community member and while i've met a few steemians recently, for me to really be a community member i'd have to meet a lot lot more! :)
kinda don't like putting myself in a box. always pushing the boundaries. i was introduced here from a friend @lloyddavis and at first i did'nt get it and tbh had been overloaded with 'hosting' and 'blogging' sites after nearly a decade of twitter, facebook, tumblr, posterous, etc etc, so it was hard to TRUST the platform, but now i've been on it 8 months and learnt so much about how it works it's made me trust it more and made me blog here more often. some great information here too.
Nice post, whales should try as much as possible to support minnows especially those that follow them, upvote and read their post and even resteem their articles. These are active members who need to be encouraged by at leàst replying thier comments, post resteemed.. @detycoon
Steemit surface dwellers, they do the basic things to keep steemit interactive and interesting, upvoting, posting and commenting when they can.
steemit underwater dwellers, these people have a deeper knowledge of the steemit platform, and are able to use steemit developer tools very well to suit their purposes and achieve their goals which could range from more active community engagement of people to accumulation of more steem power in the bid to become whales.
then finally we have the steemit deep sea dwellers... These are the leviathans of steemit, one reaction from a leviathan either for good or for bad will have tremendous effects on the steemian and the steemian community of surface dwellers, even underwater dwellers scurry and tremble at the sight of the leviathans...
Its best to always leave the deep sea dwellers in the deep where they are watching and observing all happenings in silence....
But if at all they must rise to the surface, let it be that whatever picked their interest to surface should be a thing that pleases them and not infuriates them or the object of their interest may never recover from their onslaught.
I hope you enjoyed my own limited insight into the types of steemians we have.
Unfortunately, there's starting to be a 4th group - the abusers, spam reposters, etc. BookingTeam and the like. Maybe if one wanted to be generous, they'd call them spam marketers.

I'd throw them under the anti-social wolves category! Their interactions are meaningless to all ... they got no soul man!!
Ahem.
wolves...
I'd say I'm 50/50!
