MinnowBooster Tutorial #4: Leasing Delegated Steem Power with MinnowBooster
Hey there, @bulleth here with the fourth piece in our tutorial series teaching you how to get the most out of @minnowbooster.
In this tutorial, we’ll be showing you how to lease STEEM POWER with MinnowBooster. By leasing STEEM POWER with MinnowBooster, you will increase your voting strength, influence and curation reward potential. Ever wondered what it's like to be a whale for a week? Lease some SP with MinnowBooster and find out!

Leasing Delegated STEEM POWER with MinnowBooster is easy!
Just follow these simple steps:
Leasing via Minnowbooster.net
- Go to the website: https://www.minnowbooster.net/lease
- Enter your username and Minnowbooster will automatically display the amount of STEEM you have available
- In the following field, enter the amount of STEEM POWER you'd like to lease.
- Enter how many WEEKS you would like to lease (4 week leases are better value).
- Minnowbooster will display the cost of the lease in STEEEM.
- When ready to lease, press "LEASE" button.
- A new window opens. Verify the lease terms and press "START" button.
- Now you need to log in with your "PRIVATE active key" or "Master password".
- You will find your "PRIVATE active key" and "Owner key" on your Steemit.com profile, under Wallet - Permissions. Navigate there.
- By default, Steemit.com displays your PUBLIC Active key. To obtain your PRIVATE Active key, click "show private key" button to the right of the ACTIVE KEY label.
- Highlight the PRIVATE active key and copy it (CTRL+C).
- Return to the MINNOWBOOSTER website and pasteyour PRIVATE Active Key under your username (CTRL+V).
- Press the "Continue" button.
- SteemConnect will display the "Successful" message.
- You're lease will now go to the market and we'll send you a notification once it's been filled :)
Leasing via Steem Memo
- Go to your Steemit wallet page
- Click the little arrow next to your STEEM balance and click "Transfer"
- In the "To" field, enter "minnowbooster"
- In the "Amount" field, enter how much STEEM you would like to spend
- In the "Memo" field enter the number of weeks you would like to lease for ie "4"
- If you would like to gift the lease to someone else, enter their user name after the number of weeks ie "4 bulleth"
- Click "Submit" - Your lease will now go to the market and we'll send you a notification once it's been filled :)
- Please note lease periods of 4 or more weeks are more cost effective to lease than than periods of 1 to 3 weeks. Refer to minnowbooster.net for latest lease rates.

i tried it once, doesn't seem like its paying of too much
not if for users to users but for minnowboosters to users its twice as profitable looking at the rates.
Hey, I delegated 270 to you minnowbooster and even though I followed the directions on how to undelegate and it said it was successful I still haven't got my steem power back even though it's been several days. Also the amount I have delegated keeps going up even though I never gave my permission for that. I'm tired of trying to mess with your site. Fix my problem and give me back my SP.

I checked out @killuminati and @hazooka and they both are pretty quick to call things scam and people names. Now that they started to flag all unrelated comments, I'll do a warning flag to get them to repond and give an explanation as to why it is a scam :)

I think what he is trying to say, is that it seems really unfair that people need to resort to these tactics, because they won't get noticed if they don't.
He seems upset with the way the system works, and the only way minnows can be noticed is not through persistence and hard work but through things like this..
I don't disagree with him. People wont hardly look at you if you don't have 55+ rep and you can't get 55+ rep without people looking at you.
It's an unfortunate cycle. Especially as more newbies join, people are inclined to create bots to profit from the newbies just wanting to be noticed. It seems a bit unfair

The difference between you and him is the attitude. Being a minnow sucks, we all were at that point once.
The difference is, you are respectful and actually talk. Calling people assholes with no explanation will most likely get a flag. Actually interacting with others will get you a discourse and maybe an upvote.

I think @hazooka should come back and discuss his reasoning in a way that we can all see things from each other's point of view..and not offend one another since that gets us nowhere.
Hi, it takes 7 days for the SP to return, that's hard coded into the Steem blockchain which we have no control over, please contact our support in Discord and let them know what date you undelegated so we can assist further.
I am in the same boat as themadgoat--when I set the delegation to 0, it gives me an error. Please create a tutorial that outlines the undelegating process as well as the process for undelegating market leases. It is great that you have the "How To Start" end covered, but now please focus on the "How To Stop" portion.
What error do you get? That information is pretty important and no tutorial can cover all errors.
I figured out the error with the help of a friend. I was trying to undelegate by "adding" 0. But someone helped me with a link that undelegated. It still took me a long time to figure out how to undelegate, so clearer information on that would be helpful. Thanks for your time.
