Children are born innocent. They want only to be loved, to learn, and to contribute. Those guardians who are not ready to welcome this reality miss what ought to be the most valuable snapshot of their life. They can't believe their kid - they rather presume him of being some way or another imperfect and requiring steady revision. The accentuation is on settling something, not on getting a charge out of and finding out about this new individual. The concentration, starting there on, will be on the kid's conduct, not on the parent-kid association.
